Here's a waffle that is actually good for you!! Made from freshly ground organic flour: SPELT - cereal grain cultivated for centuries in the Middle East; fewer calories but higher protein content that modern varieties of wheat SOFT WHEAT - organic, non GMO, entire grain is used so you get all the fiber and nutrients. KAMUT - ancient wheat variety from Egypt; high in protein, fiber, B vitamins and manganese. Included with the mix are 2 home grown eggs: they contain 1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 2/3 more vitamin A, 2 times more omega-3 fatty acids, 3 times more vitamin E, 7 times more beta carotene, and 4 to 6 times as much vitamin D as industrial raised eggs The mix will make 10 single waffles. All you need to add is milk and oil for delicious spelt pancakes!Spelt is a cereal grain in the wheat family, (same genus, different species). The grain has been cultivated for centuries, in both central Europe and the middle east. It has a nutty and slightly sweet flavor, similar to that of whole wheat flour. Spelt has fewer calories than wheat flour and is higher in protein. The flour is easy to digest but is lower in fiber than wheat. Enjoy some today!!
