New and Improved Market time and location!

Hello market family!

This is a special note to let you know about a few exciting changes!

We will be opening the market for orders on Thursdays now, allowing you more time to get those orders in….and we have changed the location of order pickups to Prestonrose Farm and Brewing Co!

This will open up a few things for folks…there will be additional items for sale at the farm during pickup times, including growler fills of farm fresh beer and other produce items picked that day! We will also have guest vendors from time to time selling in person at the farm—-so stay tuned!

We will also continue to have “popup” markets throughout the season, so when those occur you’ll have the chance to take part in those when you pick up your orders!

This is all part of an ongoing effort to bring more local goods to more people and build sustainable, happy communities among our local farms, families and friends. We hope to see you here at the farm and we thank you from the bottom of our wheelbarrows for going local!!!!

Please pass the word along to folks you may know who are interested in becoming customers or vendors through our market!

Cottontown!

Hello! You all probably received an invitation to attend the Cottontown Brews Festival….and I wanted to give you a little bit more info about it….specifically the fact that it is a fund raiser for the Paris Arkansas Farmers Market Association! PAFMA will receive all proceeds from this event, and hopes to build an even stronger local foods program in our community!

We are working on the Entrepreneur’s Kitchen at sweet pickins, where locals will be able to rent or borrow commercial kitchen space/time to produce items for resale which are required to be produced in a commercial kitchen!

We are also working on putting a volunteer group together to “glean” items from farmers market at the end of markets days, where we would take any donations from farmers that they have left after market closes, and distribute to families in need and/or process (freeze, can, etc) them into food items we can distribute to our area through our commercial kitchen!

Please consider coming to our awesome event that will include Arkansas Breweries, Arkansas Food Trucks, Lots of local music and a mini farm and craft market! It is sure to be one of the best events of the year, so don’t miss out! Follow the link in the eventbrite email to purchase tickets or use this one:

Thanks for your support, everyone! And thanks for going local!!
